Dr. Xiangyong delivered an in-depth analysis of solid-state battery technology at the 2024 President's Meeting of the Guangdong Province Battery Industry Association.

abstract: The 2024 President's Meeting of the Guangdong Province Battery Industry Association was successfully held in Huizhou, Guangdong Province on July 19th. Focusing on promoting the overseas expansion of Chinese battery industry chain enterprises and driving the high-quality development of the industry, the meeting attracted active participation from numerous industry experts and business representatives.

        The 2024 President's Meeting of the Guangdong Province Battery Industry Association was successfully held in Huizhou, Guangdong Province on July 19th. Focusing on promoting the overseas expansion of Chinese battery industry chain enterprises and driving the high-quality development of the industry, the meeting attracted active participation from numerous industry experts and business representatives. 

        The meeting was opened with a speech by the association's president, Pan Dangyu. Executive Vice President Tang Xinping delivered a comprehensive report on the association's key work over the past year. Secretary-General Tang Changjiang provided a detailed interpretation of the core content of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's 2024 "Norms for the Lithium Battery Industry," offering attendees an in-depth understanding of industry standards. 

        During the meeting, the "Self-discipline Convention of the Guangdong Province Battery Industry Association" (2024 Edition) and the "Implementation Measures for Credit Rating Evaluation of Member Enterprises of the Guangdong Province Battery Industry Association" were reviewed and passed, further regulating industry behavior and enhancing the overall credit level of the industry.

        In addition, the meeting released statistical data on China's battery industry for the first half of 2024, including key indicators such as performance and shipment volumes, providing valuable market information for the industry. Focusing on the key and challenging issues facing the industry, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the impact of the US Section 301 tariffs on Chinese battery industry chain enterprises, the influence of the EU's new battery regulations, and the effects of imposing high tariffs on imported electric vehicles.

        Dr. Xiangyong, chairman of our company, was invited to deliver a speech on solid-state battery technology at the conference. He provided an in-depth analysis of the core scientific issues and engineering challenges of solid-state batteries and shared the cooperation achievements of our company with Tsinghua University and other institutions in the field of solid-state batteries. Dr. Xiangyong particularly emphasized three key issues in the curing process: the wettability of the electrolyte, the realization of in-situ curing, and the detection of side-reaction gas generation and residual gases. Effective solutions to these issues will significantly enhance the performance and safety of solid-state batteries.


        Dr. Xiangyong also mentioned that Qingneng Bichuang has made significant progress in the research and development of solid-state battery technology. Leveraging our strengths in high-precision detection technology, multi-channel detection capabilities, and a high degree of automation, we are committed to addressing the issue of electrolyte wettability in solid-state batteries, optimizing in-situ curing processes, and developing high-precision gas detection technologies. Qingneng Bichuang's intelligent workstation for power battery safety detection, with its high-precision detection, multi-channel detection, high degree of automation, and ability to adapt to different temperature changes, has been verified and applied in high-end research environments such as the National Key Laboratory of Tsinghua University. In addition, our battery production inspection line system can be customized according to the different needs of the production line, performing spot or array scanning inspections on each lithium battery. The system judges the battery based on A-scan waveforms, with high detection efficiency and real-time data storage, ensuring the quality and efficiency of battery production.

        Dr. Xiangyong also referred to the standardization committee meeting held in Changsha last month. The meeting emphasized the important role of national standards in serving national strategies and advantageous industries. The Battery and Semiconductor Detection Special Committee is actively organizing the development of a standard system for lithium battery safety detection and health monitoring. The establishment of this system will provide a solid foundation for the safety and sustainable development of the battery industry, as well as a platform for cooperation and exchange within and outside the industry. We welcome more industry peers to participate in the formulation and implementation of this standard to jointly promote the healthy development of the industry.
