At the recently concluded 2024 Advanced Automotive Battery Conference (AABC), TsingBosch stood out with its exceptional technical capabilities and innovative battery safety solutions, winning the prestigious Best in Show Award. This recognition highlights TsingBosch's leading position in the global battery safety technology sector and has drawn wide acclaim and attention.
Following the exhibition, Dr. Xiang Yong, CEO of TsingBosch, along with his team, was invited to visit Tesla's Battery Technology Center in Nevada. During the visit, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on two key technologies: ultrasonic characterization of internal battery cells and full-tab welding and cylindrical battery inspection capabilities, ultimately reaching a preliminary cooperation agreement.
This visit marked a significant technical exchange between TsingBosch and Tesla in the field of battery safety. As a global leader in the electric vehicle industry, Tesla holds extremely high standards for battery safety and performance. TsingBosch, as an innovator in battery safety inspection technology, has long been committed to delivering high-efficiency, high-precision battery safety solutions for the industry. This potential partnership is expected to inject new momentum into the advancement of electric vehicles.
During the visit, Dr. Xiang provided a detailed presentation of TsingBosch’s internal ultrasonic characterization technology for battery cells. This non-destructive method utilizes ultrasonic waves to detect internal micro-defects and anomalies, effectively preventing safety risks such as thermal runaway. Tesla showed strong interest in this technology, recognizing its potential to significantly enhance battery safety and reliability.
Additionally, the two sides discussed TsingBosch’s expertise in full-tab welding and cylindrical battery inspection technologies. Full-tab welding is a critical process in cylindrical battery manufacturing, directly impacting both performance and safety. With rich experience and advanced capabilities in weld quality inspection, TsingBosch provides efficient and precise solutions, earning Tesla’s high recognition and expectation for future collaboration.
Conclusion
After several rounds of detailed communication and technical exchanges, the two companies reached an initial cooperation intention. The signing of this preliminary agreement signals the beginning of a promising partnership in battery safety technologies. Going forward, both companies will work together on research and innovation in battery safety, contributing valuable insights and technologies to the development of the electric vehicle industry.
